Installation of eFlow-Constant Airflow Regulators is complete at Claremont Hall!

Claremont Hall located at 100 Claremont Ave is a luxury mixed-use academic and residential building adjacent to the Columbia University campus in the heart of Manhattan’s Morningside Heights neighborhood.

Developed by Lendlease and L+M Development Partners and designed by Robert A.M. Stern Architects and SLCE Architects, this 41 story building offers 165 units  of modern living spaces with high-end amenities and features.

This building was designed as a sustainable building, utilizing the latest technologies and leading the way to reducing carbon footprint.  As a result Claremont Hall earned LEED Certification.

One of the innovative technologies installed in the building during its construction was the eFlow-Constant Airflow regulator. eFlow-CARs were installed in each of the building’s residential units, allowing for continuous ventilation and ensuring a healthy indoor environment for residents.

The eFlow-Constant Airflow Regulator is a cutting-edge device that ensures consistent airflow in a building’s ventilation system, regardless of external factors such as wind or pressure changes. This ensures that the indoor air quality remains consistent, even in high-rise buildings like 100 Claremont Ave, which are more susceptible to fluctuations in air pressure.

By installing eFlow-Constant Airflow Regulators, 100 Claremont Ave provides its residents with several benefits, including improved indoor air quality, reduced energy consumption, and increased cost savings. The regulators help to maintain a consistent temperature throughout the building, which reduces the need for heating and cooling systems, resulting in energy savings and lower utility bills.

Additionally, the eFlow-Constant Airflow Regulators help to prevent the build-up of harmful pollutants and allergens in the air, which can be particularly problematic for individuals with respiratory issues. This results in a healthier and more comfortable indoor environment for all residents.

Overall, the construction of 100 Claremont Ave has been a significant milestone for the neighborhood and has raised the bar for luxury living in the city. With its modern amenities, high-end finishes, and prime location, the building offers a premium living experience that is sure to impress even the most discerning residents and visitors. And with the installation of eFlow-Constant Airflow Regulators, the building offers a healthier and more energy-efficient environment for its residents, demonstrating the commitment of the developers to sustainability and innovation in construction.

Lendlease is the general contractor for this project. Installation of eFlow-Products was undertaken by Centrifugal Associates Group. The manufacturers representative, SRS Enterprises, Inc,  facilitated the sale of eFlow products for this project. Photo credit Michael Young.

This project’s is set to be complete in 2023.

Flow-CAR FACTS

eFlow-CAR is a simple solution to balancing ventilation systems. Constant Airflow Regulator is a device that automatically regulates airflows in ventilation systems to constant levels. The passive control element responds to duct pressure, and requires no electric sensors, pneumatic sensors or controls. eFlow-CARs promote high indoor air quality and energy savings.
