The Westin Washington National Harbor Hotel

The Westin Washington National Harbor Hotel sophisticated makeover includes the installation of eFlow-Constant Airflow Regulators.

The Westin Washington National Harbor Hotel is located at 171 Waterfront Street National Harbor, Maryland. Each of the hotel’s 195 guest-rooms and suites have been renovated and now feature eFlow-CAR 3″ (10-30 CFM range) in 5″x5″ custom mounting plate.  The hotel’s public spaces and business center have also been updated. The hotel boasts a new state-of-the-art workout room and a newly redesigned indoor swimming pool.  

The Westin Washington National Harbor Hotel is owned by Capstone and managed by Crestline Hotels & Resorts, LLC.

eFlow worked directly with Crestline Hotels & Resorts to consult and supply eFlow-CARs to improve hotel’s ventilation, airflow balancing and indoor air quality.

eFlow-CAR is a simple solution to balancing ventilation systems. Constant Airflow Regulator is a device that automatically regulates airflows in ventilation systems to constant levels. The passive control element responds to duct pressure, and requires no electric sensors, pneumatic sensors or controls. eFlow-CARs promote high indoor air quality and energy savings.

Norman Towers, 500 N Walnut St, East Orange, NJ

eFlow-Constant Airflow Regulators were installed in Norman Towers located at 500 N Walnut St, East Orange, NJ.   This 340,000 SF, 16 story, 406-unit, senior affordable development was originally built in 1980.

L+M  Development Partners acquired the property in July 2020, and both the acquisition and rehabilitation were financed with a Wells Fargo construction loan, tax-exempt bonds issued by NJHMFA, permanent loans from Freddie Mac, and 4% low-income housing tax credits.

The scope of upgrades included the installation of eFlow-CAR 4″ at 50 CFM with custom  4″x8″ mounting plates in every kitchen and bathroom exhaust. Each apartment now features renovated kitchens and bathrooms, new appliances and new flooring and windows. The seniors’ amenity spaces and common areas were upgraded, including the construction of a new media room/movie theater, exercise facility, outdoor picnic area, and dog park.

Inglese Architecture + Engineering is the architect on record.

Installation of eFlow-CAR was undertaken by Aspen Air Duct Cleaning .

Wise Towers, 117 W 90th St, New York, NY

eFlow- Constant Airflow Regulators were installed at Wise Towers as part of NYCHA renovations. Wise Towers located at 117 W 90th street in NYC is a 19 story, 400 unit affordable apartment building built in 1963.

NYCHA, Affordable Housing Groups, and private developers forged a $271 million deal to upgrade public housing throughout Manhattan including the Wise Tower building.

At Wise Tower, bathroom renovations have been completed, including upgrades such as replacement of toilets, bathtub/showers, sinks, light fixtures and flooring, installation of new mirrored medicine cabinets as well as freshly tiled and painted walls. Kitchen renovations have been completed, including upgrades such as newly painted walls, replacement of kitchen appliances , new wooden cabinets, new countertops, new tiled backsplashes and new flooring.

eFlow-CAR’s 3” 10-30 CFM range have been installed in every kitchen and bathroom exhaust to automatically balance ventilation,  promote high Indoor Air Quality and energy savings. eFlow-CAR 3″ is the smallest CAR on the market. It is an ideal solution for tight spaces and retrofit projects.

 

Installation of eFlow-CAR was undertaken by Indoor Air Quality Champs.
