200 East 83rd street is a residential tower designed by Robert A.M. Stern Architects, developed by Naftali Group and Rockefeller Group. Situated on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, the 35 story tower features 100% sold 86-unit luxury residence. This building offers state-of-the-art technology and sustainability features which include eFlow-Constant Airflow Regulators (CARs) as well as e2Flow® PLUS system, the new ZRT alternative solution.  The aim is to provide tenants with a comfortable, efficient, and healthy living.

SLCE Architects is executive architect, Leeding Builders Group is the general contractor for the project, WSP is the structural engineer and AKF Group  is the MEP engineer on record. Installation of eFlow-Products was undertaken by Centrifugal Associates Group. eFlow rep was on job site numerous times to ensure successful e2Flow PLUS system installation.

The manufacturers representative, SRS Enterprises, Inc,  facilitated the sale of eFlow products for this project.

e2Flow® PLUS FACTS (ZRT Alternative Solution)

e2Flow® PLUS system is designed to introduce flexibility and demand control to central ventilation systems. It is used to achieve a combination of low-flow continuous indoor air quality ventilation and on-demand high-flow spot ventilation using the same central fan system. This high efficiency ventilation system promotes high indoor air quality, energy savings and reduces operating costs. This system is used in both large and small systems. Unlike any other product on the market, e2Flow® PLUS offers flexibility in engineering design where system’s components are tailored to the project’s requirements. Moxy Bedford Hotel, 353 Bedford, Brooklyn, NY

Moxy Brooklyn Williamsburg hotel located at 353 Bedford Avenue in Brooklyn, NY is yet another hotel to install eFlow-Constant Airflow Regulators (CARs) .

This 11-story, 216-room Moxy Williamsburg hotel  is located just over the Williamsburg Bridge, in the heart of Brooklyn’s vibrant and rapidly growing Williamsburg neighborhood. The lifestyle hotel features intelligently designed rooms, tech-savvy amenities and the latest energy efficiency technology including eFlow-CARs. 5″ eFlow-CARs at 30 CFM in custom 6″x6″ wall mount  box were  installed in every hotel guest-room exhaust to automatically balance airflow, promote high indoor air quality (IAQ) and energy savings for years to come.

This Moxy Hotel was built by Leeding Builders Group, LLC, designed by Stonehill & Taylor Architects, and developed by The Lightstone Group and Marriott.  AMA Group is the MEP engineers for this project.

 

Installation of eFlow-Products was undertaken by Eastern Air Mechanical.

About Melrose North

Designed to Passive House and LEED Gold standards, Melrose North will significantly reduce environmental impact and provide a healthy living environment. The specifications for this building will meet community goals and will ensure that the project will remain financially viable in the long-term. Steven Winter Associates, Inc. is providing consulting and verification services to help meet Passive House, LEEDv4 standards and requirements. This includes ensuring primary energy conservation measurements; 1.solar photovoltaics 2.optimized hydronic heating 3.unique window design 4.energy recovery ventilation. Installation of eFlow -Constant Airflow Regulators is a proven measure to help meet standards for successful Passive House and LEED certification by ensuring that the building achieves optimal energy recovery ventilation.

This 154, 500 SF project is being developed  through a partnership between  Bronx Pro Group and the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA). This development will provide 171 units of supportive and affordable housing, 103 units of which will be set aside for homeless households. The remaining 67 units will be allocated to  households earning at or below 80 percent of area median income. Curtis + Ginsberg Architects is responsible for the design of the 14-story building, which will include 51 studio apartments, 53 one-bedroom apartments, 55 two-bedroom apartments, and 11 three-bedroom apartments. There will be one additional unit for a live-in superintendent. Skyline Engineering is the MEP design engineer for this project.

About eFlow-CAR

eFlow-Constant Airflow Regulator (CAR) is a low-cost solution for balancing ventilation systems, eliminating the need for on-site balancing and ongoing maintenance. The Constant Airflow Regulator’s control of airflow is essential to optimize energy consumption while providing good air quality. eFlow-CARs are  UL 2043 Classified (R38307) devices that automatically adjust to environmental changes in stack pressure and accurately regulate airflow. Constant Airflow Regulators are self-regulating and adjustable flow-regulators used in commercial and residential buildings. The desired airflow is fixed by a screwdriver. It is automatically calibrated to varying pressures without the need for electricity. Constant Airflow Regulators save energy by precisely controlling airflow into or out of a space. This is accomplished regardless of static pressure while providing good air quality.
