Introducing eFlow-Constant Airflow Regulator Dual Flow (Motorized) ! 

eFlow-CAR Dual Flow self-regulating motorized dampers are designed to introduce flexibility and dynamic control to central ventilation systems. Used in both large and small systems, the eFlow-CAR Dual Flow, regulates ventilation without the need for individual fans. The module opens and closes via a blade controlled by an electric motor, eliminating the need for expensive pneumatic electronic control systems. eFlow-CAR Dual Flow is available in 5”, 6” and 8” diamater. 

eFlow-CAR Dual Flow features two built in eFlow-CARs to allow for minimum and maximum flow. It combines low-flow indoor air quality ventilation and on-demand high-flow ventilation while using the same central fan system. In the “off cycle” position, the factory-calibrated eFlow-CAR  allows for steady, low-flow ventilation. In the “on cycle”, the maximum flow rate is ensured. 

eFlow-CARs are factory set Constant Airflow Regulators that are designed to save significant amount of energy by precisely controlling airflow into or out of a space.  This is done regardless of static pressure. The use of eFlow CARs helps ensure High Indoor Air Quality (IAQ). eFlow-CARs are composed of UL94V-0 ABS plastic and are UL 2043 safety classified (labeled for flame and smoke generation). They feature a self-regulating aero-wing and spring piston design to maintain factory preset air flows.

The Livonia affordable housing, Brooklyn NY

Targeting LEED Silver certification! The Livonia, affordable housing development in Brooklyn NY is a four-building complex. It features  292 apartments of affordable housing and provides 30,000 square feet of community and retail space for the growing neighborhood.
NYC Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) and the New York City Housing Development Corporation (HDC) together with Magnusson Architecture and Planning (MAP) enlisted Steven Winter Associates, Inc. to provide energy analysis, sustainability consulting, and the third-party verification with the quality assurance standards. 
Steven Winters Associates implemented numerous green building strategies including energy savings and Indoor Environmental Quality. 
eFlow-Constant Airflow Regulators were chosen and installed at the Livonia apartments to automatically balance airflow, promote energy savings and High IAQ .

Jericho House at 2013 Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Blvd, NYC

We, at eFlow are proud to have played a small role in the Jericho Supportive housing residence program.

eFlow -Constant Airflow Regulators were installed at Jericho Projects to provide High Indoor Air Quality, Automatic Airflow Balancing and Energy Savings. 

For more than 30 years, Jericho Project has provided housing and life-changing services to homeless and at-risk individuals and families in New York City.

Jericho’s Supportive Housing Program supports 474 units of supportive housing residences. 

Supportive housing is affordable housing with on-site services that help formerly homeless, disabled tenants live in dignity within the community.

Supportive housing is the most humane and cost-effective solution for ending homelessness.  

Supportive housing is permanent and affordable – all tenants hold leases and pay about a third of their income in rent. The residences are owned and operated by nonprofit organizations – and are accountable to their city, state, and federal funders.

211 West 29th Street, NYC, built to Passive House standards

Manhattans’s second-largest building built to Passive House standards, 211 West 29th Street, NYC, will feature eFlow-Constant Airflow Regulators! 

This building now rises 24 stories and will house 55 rental units. Once completed, 211 West 29th Street will be a mixed-use, mixed-income (affordable and market-rate) rental building. 

The building is being built to Passive House standards under the supervision of  Steven Winter Associates Energy Consultant and will offer apartment layouts ranging from studios to three-bedroom units and will have passive house features such as lower energy consumption for the entire building. 

Passive house is a rigorous standard for energy efficiency in a building which results in ultra-low-energy buildings that require little energy for space heating or cooling.

According to the official website of New York Passive House Inc., this type of construction “delivers up to approximately a 90% reduction in heating and cooling demand and up to a 75% reduction in overall primary energy demand” compared to most existing buildings.

211 Madison Avenue , NYC

Years of musty odors and poor indoor air quality at Morgan Court, NYC resolved by installing eFlow-Constant Airflow Regulators!

Morgan Court at 211 Madison Avenue , NYC is a 32 story building that has been described as having been “designed and built as a staple of elegance, luxury and prestige”. With just two residences per floor, this 28 story building offers an enviable level of privacy. Unfortunately, the building had been plagued with issues related to a poorly designed ventilation system. Inadequate and unbalanced kitchen and bathroom exhausts led to musty odors and poor air quality with in the building for years. Many unsuccessful solutions were proposed and attempted in the past. That is until, eFlow-Constant Airflow Regulators were installed at all kitchen and bathroom exhausts. Post installation of eFlow CARs, the building was free of musty odors and benefitted from automatically balanced airflow. Thanks to eFlow CARs, the residence of Morgan Courts can look forward to better indoor air quality as well as energy savings for years to come.

eFlow CARs automatically regulate airflow in duct systems to constant levels. It requires no electricity, no sensors or controls. The CAR compensates for changes in duct pressure caused by thermal stack effect and provides a low-cost solution to balancing ventilation systems. CARs are  frequently specified for many different applications, including multi-family projects .

Thanks to eFlow Constant Airflow Regulators, The New York State Psychiatric Institute in NYC, now meets the AAALAC’s (Association for Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care) strict Indoor Air Quality standards!

eFlow USA is proud to announce that eFlow-Constant Airflow Regulator’s (CAR’s) played a pivotal role in helping The New York State Psychiatric Institute, located at 1051 Riverside Drive in NYC, meet the AAALAC’s (Association for Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care) strict Indoor Air Quality standards. The AAALAC is an international organization that promotes the humane treatment of animals in science. In order to achieve accreditation from this organization, strict supply/exhaust ratios and air quality measures must be satisfied. Once eFlow-CAR’swere installed at the New York State Psychiatric Institute Animal Laboratories, the exacting quality measures of the AAALACwere met with improved Indoor Air Quality and Automatic Airflow Balancing as well as improved Energy Efficiency.
