We are thrilled to unveil another project, showcasing the e2Flow® PLUS system – a revolutionary alternative solution to ZRT. This pioneering system has been meticulously designed to offer sustainable, flexible, and efficient airflow balancing at a cost-effective price point. With state-of-the-art technology and an unwavering commitment to excellence, this project marks a significant milestone for both our company and the industry as a whole.

The construction of a 34-story residential tower at 200 East 34th Street, NYC, has now reached completion. Boasting a range of cutting-edge features, including eFlow-CARs and the innovative e2Flow PLUS system.

e2Flow PLUS system installed allows for controlled airflow at minimum 50 CFM and on demand maximum 450 CFM. eFlow-CARs 5″  at 30 CFM were utilized for all exhaust applications.

This impressive building was designed by CetraRuddy Architecture and developed by 200 East 34th LLC. With 144 high-end condominium units spanning across studio to two-bedroom layouts, the 388-foot-tall structure stands as a true architectural masterpiece. The property was expertly constructed by Noble Construction Group. AKF Group  is the MEP engineer on this project.

eFlow collaborated directly with the mechanical contractor to provide guidance on product selection and product approvals. Installation of eFlow-Products was undertaken by L & M Air Inc.

200 East 83rd street is a residential tower designed by Robert A.M. Stern Architects, developed by Naftali Group and Rockefeller Group. Situated on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, the 35 story tower features 100% sold 86-unit luxury residence. This building offers state-of-the-art technology and sustainability features which include eFlow-Constant Airflow Regulators (CARs) as well as e2Flow® PLUS system, the new ZRT alternative solution.  The aim is to provide tenants with a comfortable, efficient, and healthy living.

SLCE Architects is executive architect, Leeding Builders Group is the general contractor for the project, WSP is the structural engineer and AKF Group  is the MEP engineer on record. Installation of eFlow-Products was undertaken by Centrifugal Associates Group. eFlow rep was on job site numerous times to ensure successful e2Flow PLUS system installation.

The manufacturers representative, SRS Enterprises, Inc,  facilitated the sale of eFlow products for this project.

About Sven

Opened in 2022, Sven is a 71-story residential tower owned and developed by the Durst Organization. It was  designed by Handel Architects, with Selldorf Architects in charge of the project’s interior, lobby, and amenities. The engineering firm Jaros, Baum & Bolles (JB&B) and  The Fulcrum Group provided mechanical engineering services. HRCG-Hunter Roberts construction group carried out the construction of the project.   Delta sheet metal and PJ mechanical were the mechanical contractors for the project and installers of eFlow products. Sven is the second-tallest building in Queens with 958 residences ranging from studios to three bedrooms of which 288 of which are income restricted.

About eFlow-MAX 

eFlow-MAX is a field adjustable High Capacity Constant Airflow Regulator. It is designed to operate within Pressure Range: 0.2 to 4.0 in w.g. (50-1000Pa), automatically and precisely balance airflow into or out of a space without the need for electricity. Its design saves significant amount of energy, money and provides High Indoor Air Quality. This round damper provides pressure-independent maximum constant airflow in round duct systems without the use of electricity, sensors or controls. As pressure increases, the blade moves to keep airflow stable over a wide pressure range. eFlow-MAX has an external mechanism that can be used to adjust airflow manually, and with ease, using an allen wrench (2mm). eFlow-MAX can be easily installed inside standard ductwork. Microsoft Campus, Redmond, WA

Microsoft took  on  a significant initiative to modernize Redmond campus encompassing 3 million square feet of new workspace and amenities. This modernization includes  the installation of eFlow-MAX high capacity constant airflow regulator for automatically balanced ventilation, high indoor air quality and energy efficiency. eFlow-Maxs are installed  in restrooms, janitor closets and garage.

Redmond has been the home of the Microsoft Corporate Campus for the last 33 years. The Refresh project that is currently underway replaces 12 older office buildings with approximately 3 million square feet of office space within 17 new buildings. The design of the campus is both pedestrian and bicycle friendly and includes retail shops, restaurants, running and walking trails, sports facilities and open spaces.

eFlow worked directly with McKinstry to supply eFlow-MAX’s for this project.

The 29-story, 337-foot-tall, mixed-use building located at 545 Vanderbilt Ave in Brooklyn NY is currently under-construction.  Ones completed, it will feature 284 apartments and  60,000 square feet of commercial space . The building will offer resident amenities such as a fitness center, a game lounge, and an outdoor pool atop a four-story podium.

Designed by Morris Adjmi Architects and developed by Hope Street Capital, this building is expected to be completed in 2022.

eFlow-MAX High Capacity Constant Airflow Regulator Testing

eFlow-MAX Testing 

Independent testing of eFlow-MAX High Capacity Constant Airflow Regulator was conducted by Weickert Industries, Inc at the request of Hunter Roberts Construction Group, for project : Sven at Queens Plaza Park.

Testing took place at the Queens Park Plaza Tower on September, 25, 2019. A system was built for testing purposes by Delta Sheet Metal Corp, an affiliate of PJ Mechanical Corp.

Four eFlow-MAX regulators  set to specific CFM setting were put to the test over the entire pressure range from 0.2 to 4.0  w.g. (50-1000Pa)

 

A report issued by Weickert industries, Inc, dated September 27, 2019 illustrates findings of the tests as follows:

eFlow-MAX 4”, set to 45 CFM, over the entire pressure range of 0.25 to 4.0 in w.g. performed at an average of 46 CFM

eFlow-MAX 4”, set to 60 CFM, over the entire pressure range of 0.25 to 4.0 in w.g. performed at an average of 58.9 CFM

eFlow-MAX 4”, set to 50 CFM, over the entire pressure range of 0.25 to 4.0 in w.g. performed at an average of 54.6 CFM

eFlow-MAX 3”, set to 25 CFM, over the entire pressure range of 0.25 to 4.0 in w.g. performed at an average of 27.4 CFM

About eFlow-MAX 

eFlow-MAX is a field adjustable High Capacity Constant Airflow Regulator. It is designed to operate within Pressure Range: 0.2 to 4.0 in w.g. (50-1000Pa), automatically and precisely balance airflow into or out of a space without the need for electricity. Its design saves a significant amount of energy and provides High Indoor Air Quality. This round damper provides pressure-independent maximum constant airflow in round duct systems without the use of electricity, sensors or controls. As pressure increases, the blade moves to keep airflow stable over a wide pressure range. eFlow-MAX has an external mechanism that can be used to adjust airflow manually, and with ease, using an allen wrench (2mm). eFlow-MAX can be easily installed inside standard ductwork. About Sven

Sven is a new 755-foot tall residential tower located at 27-29 Queens Plaza North and 29-37 41st Avenue in Long Island City. This 67-story tower is owned and has been developed by the Durst Organization. It was designed by Handel Architects, with Selldorf Architects in charge of the project’s interior, lobby, and amenities. The engineering firm JB&B and  The Fulcrum Group provided mechanical engineering services. HRCG-Hunter Roberts construction group carried out the construction of the project and Delta sheet metal and PJ mechanical were the mechanical contractors for the project.

Sven will feature 958 residential units, 287 of which will be dedicated to affordable housing. The tower will include an outdoor pool, fitness center, resident’s library, co-working space, children’s playroom, and a demonstration kitchen. The Sven is situated adjacent to the historic Long Island City Clock Tower in Queens. The Sven will be the second-tallest skyscraper in the neighborhood . Completion of the project  is expected in 2021.

United States Air Force Virtual Warfare Center , Nellis Air Force Base, NV

The United States Air Force Virtual Warfare Center in Nellis Air Force Base, NV broke ground Feb. 8, 2019.  The $38 million facility is scheduled to open in the summer of 2021.

Sven at Queens Plaza Park, Long Island City, NY

Residents of this building will enjoy an automatically balanced, high-efficiency ventilation system that will provide high indoor air quality and energy savings. The manufacturer’s representative, Mechanical Technologiesfacilitated the sale of eFlow products for the Queens Park Plaza project. This is the first project of this magnitude in the USA  to utilize eFlow-MAX constant airflow regulators as part of the building’s ventilation system.

eFlow-Constant Airflow Regulator (CAR) is a low-cost solution for balancing ventilation systems, eliminating the need for on-site balancing and ongoing maintenance. The Constant Airflow Regulator’s control of airflow is essential to optimize energy consumption while providing good air quality. eFlow-CARs are  UL 2043 Classified (R38307) devices that automatically adjust to environmental changes in stack pressure and accurately regulate airflow.
