The City Center complex, Lexington, KY 

The City Center complex in the heart of Lexington, KY is set to open December, 2019 . This $220 million-dollar mixed-use development includes a 230-room Marriott Hotel and a 120-room Residence Inn by Marriott. Both hotels are built by Bristol Group and feature all the latest technology including eFlow- Constant Airflow Regulators.

The Carriage House, 1275 15th Street, Fort Lee, NJ

Situated at 1274 15th Street, the Carriage House is an upscale rental property. Residents enjoy having on-site laundry facilities, garage, elevators and a 24-hour doorman.
Built in 1971, this 18 floor and 308 unit building is run by Kibel Companies. The Carriage House offers one bedroom, two bedroom and three bedroom rental options.
As part of recent HVAC upgrades and central exhaust balancing, eFlow-Constant Airflow Regulators (CAR) were installed to automatically balance airflow, promote energy savings and insure residence of the Carriage House have high indoor air quality (IAQ).

Introducing eFlow-Alize Constant Airflow Regulator ( 2 in 1 CAR and Grille)! eFlow-Alize is a 2 in 1 Constant Airflow Regulator (CAR) and Grille combo. This is a new generation of self adjusting CARs which provides the perfect match between high technical performance and aesthetic design. University Square Plaza, Philadelphia, PA

Orbach Affordable Housing Solutions (OAHS) announced the completion of a twenty five million dollar upgrade of the University Square Plaza Senior Apartments located at 3901 Market Street in Philadelphia.

University Square Plaza is a low income senior housing apartment complex subsidized by the federal government’s HUD (Housing and Urban Development Division). It features one bedroom, one bathroom high rise style apartments. University Square Apartments participates in the Section 8 Project-Based Rental Assistance program.

eFlow proudly supplied custom solutions to meet the ventilation system requirement of the upgrade.

This project required 110 CFM to be achieved in 8″ x 4″ duct openings. eFlow supplied Constant Airflow Regulators (CARs) with dual installation plates to meet the unique installation needs required for this project.

In Every kitchen and bathroom an 8″ x 4″ dual CAR assembly was installed to allow for 110 CFM. Assembly included: 8″ x 4″ CAR installation plate that housed two 4″ Constant Airflow Regulators, each set at 55 CFM.

All 442 affordable units in the building have been upgraded to improve the quality of living for tenants and improve the building’s overall energy efficiency and Indoor air quality and sustainability.

The 15-story affordable housing development at 1932 Bryant Avenue, in The Bronx’s West Farms neighborhood will feature eFlow-Constant Airflow Regulators.

West Farms is expected to welcome residents by 2020, and will comprise over 314,000 square feet of total space with 319 rent-stabilized, affordable apartments, 12,000 square feet of retail, and a 9,000-square-foot community facility. Residential amenity spaces will include co-working space,bike storage, and a landscaped courtyard.

With energy costs soaring, everyone is looking for effective ways to save energy. By installing eFlow-Constant Airflow Regulators (eFlow-CAR) in bathroom and kitchen exhaust vents, building operators are able to accurately and automatically control the airflow. The Livonia affordable housing, Brooklyn NY

Targeting LEED Silver certification! The Livonia, affordable housing development in Brooklyn NY is a four-building complex. It features  292 apartments of affordable housing and provides 30,000 square feet of community and retail space for the growing neighborhood.
NYC Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) and the New York City Housing Development Corporation (HDC) together with Magnusson Architecture and Planning (MAP) enlisted Steven Winter Associates, Inc. to provide energy analysis, sustainability consulting, and the third-party verification with the quality assurance standards. 
Steven Winters Associates implemented numerous green building strategies including energy savings and Indoor Environmental Quality. 
eFlow-Constant Airflow Regulators were chosen and installed at the Livonia apartments to automatically balance airflow, promote energy savings and High IAQ .

Classic Stack Effect issue at 245 West 99th Street, NYC-corrected by installing eFlow Constant Airflow Regulators!

Built in 2008, Ariel West at 245 West 99th street features 32 stories and 90 superbly designed two to five bedroom units. This extraordinary glass tower offers a sensual blend of lavish materials, gracious interior detailing, modern technology and an astounding array of family amenities.

Problem:Classic High-Rise building Stack Effect and air balancing issue

Residence of Ariel West experienced extremely uncomfortable conditions in common hallways throughout the entire building.

During the winter months, the upper floors common hallways would get unbearably hot, while the lower floors got extremely cold. This was the results of classic stack effect.

In modern high-rise building with well-sealed envelopes, the stack effect can create significant pressure differences.  Such pressure differences can cause significant air imbalance resulting in colder temperatures in upper floors and warmer temperatures in lower floors during the summer months and the reverse during the winter months.

Solution: eFlow-Constant Airflow Regulators (CAR’s) were installed to Automatically Balance Airflow.
 
eFlow-CARs correct stack effect. These devices compensate for changes in duct pressure caused by thermal stack effect and building pressure. Tall building ventilation systems become severely out of balance due to fluctuations in environmental conditions. Too much air is drawn from some floors, while other floors don’t receive enough ventilation. eFlow-Constant Airflow Regulators can correct stack effect by automatically adjusting to the changes in static pressure so that energy is not wasted and optimum indoor air quality is maintained. The eFlow-CAR also provides a low-cost solution to balancing forced-air systems for heating, air conditioning and ventilation, eliminating the need for on-site balancing.
