Malcom Towers, Fort Lee, NJ

LIHC Investment Group secured $42.5M in Financing for Malcolm Towers  upgrades which includes the installation of eFlow-Constant Airflow Regulators.
eFlow-CAR 3″ adjustable 10-30 CFM setting was installed  in every bathroom and kitchen exhaust of this 16 story building.

eFlow-Constant Airflow Regulators were installed at 50 Pennsylvania Avenue, Brooklyn, NY!

A new 100-percent affordable housing building designed by Dattner Architects is a nine-story building  with 218 apartments. Each apartment features eFlow-CAR 4″ at 30 CFM in every kitchen and bathroom exhaust. 

50 Penn development located at 50 Pennsylvania Avenue near the corner of Fulton Street in Brooklyn was envisioned and designed as a mixed-use building that would provide access to high-quality affordable and moderate-income housing and sustainable and healthy food choices. The units will be marketed to tenants at a range of income levels, from formerly homeless and extremely-low income to 80% of Average Median Income. This project was developed by  by Pennrose, RiseBoro Community Partnership with  a approximate development Cost of $106,000,000. Mega Contracting is the general contractor on record.  50 Penn is expected to be completed Fall 2021.

William Plaza, Brooklyn, NY

As part of NYCHA Permanent Affordability Commitment Together (PACT) and a $90 million improvement plan, eFlow-Constant Airflow Regulators  were installed at William Plaza affordable housing buildings in Brooklyn, NY.

eFlow-CAR 3” at 25 CFM were installed in every apartment exhaust to automatically balance airflow, improve indoor air quality, and promote energy savings.

In 2018, The New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) announced the Permanent Affordability Commitment Together (PACT) program to secure massive repairs and stable funding for the  long-neglected public housing development at Williams Plaza buildings in Brooklyn, NY. Through the program, more than 1,000 residents, in 577 apartments, will be the beneficiaries of infrastructure improvements.

Built by New York State in the 1960s, Williams Plaza were run by the State for nearly four decades before being transferred to NYCHA in 1998.

Old Town Park Phase Three at 228 West Hill Street, Chicago, IL

The Old Town Park Phase Three Tower  development  at 228 West Hill Street, Chicago features eFlow-Constant Airflow Regulators.

Developed by Vancouver based developer, Onni Group, and designed by Chicago architecture firm Hartshorne Plunkard Architecture, the third phase of the Old Town Park development is almost complete.  At 41 stories and 447 feet, Old Town Park phase three will be the tallest of the three towers and will include 456 rental apartment units, office space on its lower levels, a sixth-floor tenant amenity deck, and a 193-car garage.

Onni Contracting (Chicago), Inc. and CEA & A Structural Engineers are  the general contractor  and engineering firm on record.

Installation of eFlow-Constant Airflow Regulators (CARs) was undertaken by Any Temperature Inc.

The manufacturers representative, Hatchell & Associates, Inc,  facilitated the sale of eFlow products for this project.

201 East 79th street, New York, NY

As part of a $24 million renovation, eFlow worked directly with CM & Associates Construction Management Company to design and manufacture custom eFlow-Constant Airflow Regulator assemblies for 201 East 79th street building in NYC. Installation of eFlow-CARs for this project was specified by The Dagher Engineering consulting firm.

eFlow-CAR assemblies were designed for kitchen and bathroom exhaust, as well as two types of fan coil units. Our product specialists conducted numerous site visits to ensure ideal design and proper installation of all eFlow-products.

Over 1,600 eFlow-CAR3″ at 30 CFM were installed.

201 East 79th street building on The Upper Eastside of Manhattan, is a postwar Cooperative High-rise building that was built in 1963 as a rental. The building was converted to co-op in 1968. There are a total of 167 units and 21 floors comprised of 1, 2, and 3 bedroom apartments.  The condition of the building had started to deteriorate in recent years.  After many inspections and studies, it was determined that the building required substantial renovations with focus on greater energy efficiency, an extended life span of the façade and an overall beautification of the building.  As part of this renovation, existing glazed brick façade was removed and replaced entirely and new insulation was added. eFlow-CARs were installed at kitchen and bathroom exhausts as well as the fan coil units. Window water proofing repairs were also performed. This was followed by the installation of a beautiful new porcelain rain screen system, that brings the building up to date in terms of aesthetic and improved energy efficiency.

MEP upgrades were designed by Dagher Engineering,  an award-winning building systems engineering and sustainability consulting firm in NYC.  Renovations are being managed by CM & Associates Construction Company. Rawlings Architects, PC is the Architect on record.

Anticipated project completion time is July 2021.

AMLI 808 North Wells Street Chicago, IL

Developed by AMLI Residential, 808 North Wells building is being built to achieve LEED Gold® certification. AMLI Residential focuses on the development, construction and management of environmentally responsible luxury apartment communities throughout the country . This includes installation of eFlow -Constant Airflow Regulators for automatically balanced ventilation, high indoor air quality and energy efficiency.  808 North Wells will feature 318 smart rental apartments ranging from studio to two-bedrooms, and will include multiple amenity floors as well as nearly 4,700 square feet of ground floor commercial space.

Walsh Construction is the project’s general contractor. Hartshorne Plunkard Architecture is the project’s design architect, with NORR as the architect of record.

AMLI 808 is expected to be complete in late spring 2021.

The manufacturers representative, Hatchell & Associates, Inc,  facilitated the sale of eFlow products for this project.

440 Berry Street, Brooklyn, NY

440 Berry Street is a New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) owned building located in the Williamsburg neighborhood in Brooklyn, NY. This building recently underwent ventilation upgrades and installed eFlow-Constant Airflow Regulators (CARs) for automatically balanced airflow, high indoor air quality and energy savings.

Originally build in 1995, 440 Berry Street features 6 stories and 66 apartment units.

425 Grand Concourse, Bronx NY

eFlow is honored to take part in yet another Passive House building project!  

Installation of eFlow-Constant Airflow Regulators (CAR’s) and eFlow-CAR Assemblies is now underway at 425 Grand Concourse,  the largest Passive House project in North America to date. eFlow is working directly with  R&S United Services, Inc, the Mechanical Contractor for this project, to provide Constant Airflow Regulators (CARs) that are economical, efficient and backed by our unsurpassed customer service.

About 425 Grand Concourse

Designed by Dattner Architects and Dagher Engineering PLLC, this new mixed-use and mixed-income development will create 277 units of affordable housing. Under the supervision of Passive House Consultant, Steven Winter Associates, the 26-story building will be built to Passive House standards and will consume up to 70% less energy than a conventional housing project. The development will implement high efficiency building systems with an air-tight building envelope, energy recovery ventilation, eFlow-Constant Airflow Regulators and other sustainable features to significantly reduce heat loss and unwanted heat retention. According to NYPH, his project will surpass the Enterprise Green Communities Criteria.

This building is anticipated to be completed in 2022 and has already earned recognition from:

NYSERDA—Buildings of Excellence Award
PHIUS—High-Rise Design in the Bronx

Verona Senior Citizens Apartments, Verona, NJ

The Verona Senior Citizens Apartments installed eFlow-Constant Airflow Regulators in order to automatically balance the building’s ventilation system, promote High Indoor Quality (IAQ) and achieve energy savings. Due to tight existing conditions, eFlow’s smallest CAR 3” (10-30 CFM adjustable ) was chosen as the ideal solution for this application. 

The Verona Senior Citizens Apartments is an affordable six story building serving eligible elderly applicants 62 years of age or older and disabled individuals and their families.  The building was originally built in 1981 and has undergone many renovations and updates over the years.  In total, there are 159 studio and one-bedroom apartments.

Launching e2Flow®, the eFlow-CAR Dual Flow Damper

At eFlow USA, we never stop innovating. We are proud to announce the launch of the new e2Flow® , the eFlow-CAR Dual Flow Damper. Available exclusively at eFlow USA! 

eFlow-CAR Dual Flow Dampers (e2Flow®) are self-regulating motorized dampers designed to introduce flexibility and dynamic control in central ventilation systems. The module opens and closes via a blade controlled by Belimo actuator, eliminating the need for expensive electronic control systems. e2Flow is available in 6”, 8”, 10”, 12” diamater. e2Flow features built in eFlow-CAR to allow for minimum controlled airflow. It combines low-flow and on-demand high-flow ventilation while using the same central fan system. In the “off cycle” position, the factory-calibrated eFlow-CAR allows for steady, low-flow ventilation (min setting). In the “on cycle”, the maximum flow rate is allowed. eFlow-CARs are factory set Constant Airflow Regulators that are designed to save a significant amount of energy by precisely controlling airflow into or out of a space.  This is done regardless of static pressure. The use of eFlow CARs helps ensure High Indoor Air Quality (IAQ). eFlow-CARs are composed of UL94V-0 ABS plastic and are UL 2043 safety classified (labeled for flame and smoke generation). They feature a self-regulating aero-wing and spring piston design to maintain factory preset air flows.
